[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last June the Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia<\/strong><\/span>, in collaboration with the\u00a0<\/span>Illustrious College of Industrial Engineers of Galicia<\/b>, <\/b>announced the winners of the <\/span>VII Galicia Energy Awards<\/b>. The awards will be presented in this edition at a gala in Ferrol, for which there is no date yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>VII Galicia Energy Awards<\/b> are the most important awards <\/span>in the sector within the community and recognise the best careers and projects in the dissemination, promotion and implementation of good practices that contribute to provide solutions to climate change.<\/b><\/p>\n

ASIME-GOE<\/b> (Association of Galician Metallurgical Industrialists-Galician Offshore Energy Group) will be awarded the <\/span>Energy Awareness and Dissemination Action Award<\/b> for the work it has carried out since 2013 to make the importance of renewable energy more visible.<\/span><\/p>\n

These initiatives represent <\/span>a boost for the Galician industrial sector<\/b> and have allowed many companies to consolidate and expand their production towards new markets. <\/span>GOE<\/b> is made up of more than 30 companies, <\/span>Acebron Group<\/span><\/a> being one of them,\u00a0 <\/span>which produces various elements of the offshore energy value chain.<\/b><\/p>\n

In addition to the award for awareness-raising, the awards are divided into the <\/span>following categories:<\/b><\/p>\n

The award for <\/span>Communication on Energy Matters<\/b>\u00a0 has gone to the journalist <\/span>Jorge Guzm\u00e1n Lorenzo, from El Diario de Ferrol<\/b>, for his professional commitment to publish the reality of the economy, the industry and energy of the region of Ferrol and Galicia in general.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Best Entrepreneurial Project<\/b> will be for <\/span>Esmas Smart<\/b>, a company from Oleiros (A Coru\u00f1a).<\/span><\/p>\n

The award for the <\/span>Best Lighting Project<\/b> will go to the Coru\u00f1a-based company <\/span>Instelec<\/b> for its project \u201cNew Collaborative Approach to Urban Lighting under the Slowlight philosophy”<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Best Innovation Project<\/b> will go to <\/span>Energylab and Naturgy<\/b>, for the start-up of the Mixed Renewable Gas Unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>best renewable project<\/b> has been awarded to the Pontevedra-based company <\/span>EDF Solar<\/b> for its performance in isolated self-consumption by the agricultural company Cas de Pedro (Lugo).<\/span><\/p>\n

And finally, the <\/span>Best Energy Efficiency Project<\/b> will go to the <\/span>Vice-Rector’s Office for Infrastructure and Planning at the University of A Coru\u00f1a<\/b> for the “Project of works’ execution for the integral energy optimisation of the La Normal building in A Coru\u00f1a”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The jury of the VII Premios Galicia de Energ\u00eda has also decided to give an <\/span>Honorable Mention to the Navantia Turbine Factory.<\/b><\/p>\n
