Reusing
At ACEBRON GROUP we have more than 20 years of proven experience in repairs for the energy and industrial sector. Especially in wind turbine equipment. In addition, our technical team and state-of-the-art machinery allow us to carry out repairs, refurbishments and maintenance both in our own facilities and in the customer’s facilities.
In a repair, some parts can sometimes be reused but others have to be rejected because it is not possible to repair them due to damage to the part. This component is scrapped and if possible, reverse engineered to manufacture a new one. This component that cannot be reused, such as a wind shaft, is recycled with an authorised manager and given a new life by re-melting the material to manufacture other components.
As a result, we are part of the sustainable supply chain of leading technologists and utilities.

We have been working for the wind energy sector since 2001, when we started to supply in series the main components of the wind turbine (shafts, bushings, frames, bearings, gearbox housings…) for the most important technologists in the sector. Since then, we have been gaining more and more experience in the field of repairs and refurbishment, which is today one of our main areas of activity.
We have become a trusted partner for the main players in the wind energy sector, both technologists and utilities, who rely on us for our commitment to quality, our reliability, flexibility and ability to adapt to their needs.
We repair and refurbish components so that we can reuse up to 70% of the materials compared to a new item. According to industry studies, a reconditioned wind turbine component saves on average 45% of CO2 emissions compared to a new part.
The reconditioned components are not only sustainable, but also meet the highest quality specifications by complying with technical and quality standards to operate as new components, in some cases performing retrofits that even improve their initial characteristics.

We are aware of the high quality requirements of the sector and that is why we work under very demanding quality standards in terms of tolerances and precision. In order to meet them, during our manufacturing process we have acclimatised workshops to work with controlled temperature and CNC machines.
We have all the high-precision measuring tools necessary to guarantee the measurements of the machined parts:
Our quality system and manufacturing process are certified with EN 1090-1: 2009 + A1: 2011 EXC3 and EN ISO 3834-2: 2006, and has FROSIO (Norsok 501) certified painters, meeting the highest manufacturing standards.
Our 4 factories and all our machining equipment are connected to the production engineering department via industrial communications software.
We can send programs directly from the CAM department to all machines, improving productivity and increasing the reliability of the different processes. Through our virtual machines we are able to generate a simulation of the machining process, thus improving the efficiency, times and quality of our procedures.
We use these programmes and systems to machine complex and large components such as gearbox housings or bushings, ensuring precision and compliance with the necessary tolerances and geometries.
We also make use of Industry 4.0 tools to reverse engineer components through which we can proceed to the creation of new parts from used parts.
