The Association of Metal Industries and Associated Technologies of Galicia (Asime), of which Rebeca Acebron, CEO of Acebron Group, is Vice President, celebrated its 45th anniversary on Wednesday, December 14 at the Hotel Pazo Los Escudos in Vigo. The event was attended by more than 300 representatives of the Galician business sector, key institutions and organizations, and was closed by the First Vice President of the Xunta de Galicia.

At the event, Asime honored businessman Cándido González Lorenzo, the company Delta Vigo, and 31 companies that stood out for their support of solidarity initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic. The President of Asime, Justo Sierra, highlighted the achievements of the organization in recent years in his speech, such as the Mindtech international fair and the promotion of training through the Industrial Development Institute.

The First Vice President of the Xunta de Galicia, Francisco Conde, emphasized in his speech the importance of public-private collaboration in the context of the “energy and digital transformation” and the need for adaptation and resilience. He highlighted the contribution of Asime to the Galician industrial sector and its constant interaction with institutions and social agents.
